Guest-to-customer journey
The guest-to-customer journey is the tracked path a podcast guest travels from receiving an invitation to becoming a customer: invited → booked → interviewed → followed up → opportunity → closed. It is the pipeline view of a relationship that began in the guest chair.
Why it matters
Mapping the journey stops the post-interview stage being left to chance, which is where most podcast-as-channel attempts quietly die. It also makes attribution honest: when a guest signs nine months later, the CRM shows the whole path instead of crediting whichever ad they clicked last.
The number
Each stage of the journey has a benchmark (booking at 18%, show rate, interview-to-opportunity), published or publishing in the ThePod.fm B2B Podcast ROI Benchmark Report 2026.
